| I want to make a crime thread that's more tounge and cheek like the GTA series then playing straight, which I think was the problem the last time
The problem is...I don't know WHEN to set it
Option A. The 1920's or 1930's. For one word and one word only...Mafia...I would set it in a Chicago esc city with an option to also go to a New York Esc city
Option B. Modern times. It'd be more diverse, but the only setting I would allow is Las Angelous, San Fransico, and Vegas area, with maybe New YOrk and Chicago being optional.
Rules:
No one is a good guy PERIOD no one is a cop, or a vigilante...you are a criminal, you can be an honerable criminal like Robin Hood, but still a criminal.
Regardless if its more Tounge and Cheek, Crime is still a dark subject, so we get into dark areas. If you think we go to far, we'll stop the RP rewind to before that incident happen, and start over from there.
Because its more Tounge and Cheek, here is what is on the BAN list for Charcters
No Rapists
No Serial Killers
These people MAY appear as NPC's but NO ONE is to play them other then myself as the NPCs and even then their life expectency is shorter then all hell

why couldn't people constantly create new ideas for criminals and others can be cops and all that trying to catch them, because everyone would have to be reasonable with eachother's posts and all criminals seems pretty boring
the only way all criminals could work is the mafia thing

| Well first of all, I agree with Anchorage and spets, we need stuff like cops to be allowed for the simple sake of pushing the thread along. You could limit it to like two or three cop players total or something, but the possibility of stuff like corrupt cops, helping out other criminals and stuff, that is what makes crime threads good. The Mt. shamalamadingdong twists.
Second of all, as to how I do Alterria warriors? Have a background story set up, but have everything involving the RPers be completely flexible.
For example: The war of Fortuga and the sand dwellers. The events of it are static, but everything that happens to the characters is on the spot. Encounters are pre-planned based on a planned out map. Events placed on certain days. It's the main reason why weeks in Alterria are ten days in a week, and there is always four weeks in a month. It makes it easier to set up pre-planned dates and special rules.
Basically, the idea is to have a plan for every day, before you even get to that day. Each character you introduce has to have importance, or they're just a waste of a possible character type.

So that Rule will go, people can make cops if they so wish.
However, I'm staying firm on the No Rapist thing. I might allow Serial Killers if you give me a very good reason why I should

Now...Do you want this to be in a RL City or Cities
or
Since this thread is loosly based on the GTA Style use their cities
or
Make our own cities that are close together that everyone can RP with each other, but far and diffrent enough to form their own Identity

For RL: New York or Las Angeles or Vegas or Omaha Nebraska (:D) or Mami or Chicago or Washington D.C.
For GTA: Los Santos or San Ferrio or Las Venturas or Liberty City or Vice City
For our own: A modern day metropolis, some backwoods area that is a little high tech, some piece of crap area
