I had to pull over "Oh crap the guy punctured our tire" I said having to get out. "Orin, now is not the time to...to..." I heard foot steps and it was the black cloaked guy. He rolled a tire to us, and looked at me. I hid my face, and than I felt my tail zipper being pulled. I backed up "Getting a little to close there buddy"

The guy looked at me and said "I know what you are...you don't have to hide it from me...no human being can do what you did to those mechs" I sighed quietly " Do not worry, I am simply repaying the favor miss?"

"Umm" I said quietly "Venida"

My name caused him to look at me. "Hmm, like the King's deceased daughter?" I nodded quietly "Strange coincidence"

"Yeah" I said looking at Orin, than back at the cloaked guy. "Look...you don't have to"

The Rebel smirked and said "Oh but I do...you saved me from the Mechs...that sort of makes me owe you" He extended his hand for a hand shake. "My name is Charels Viran" It's a pleasure to meet you" The tire was changed and he looked at me. "You should get out of here...the Guard Dog is a rather...persistant chaser." I than thought back to Orin, and than sighed. "What's wrong?"

"Regardless of his Job he's still like me, and like Orin in the car...it will take some...convincing...but..." I sighed "Don't wait up, take the car, and Orin to the mountains, that's where my friends are." He nodded and started the car, as I waited.

Still out of sight, but not very far away from them, it was faintly audible that I roared something of which they did not understand. A few minutes later, a couple of locusts began landing on the ground and the vehicle. A couple fly back in the direction they came, as more took their place.

I looked around through the swarm of bugs trying to find the Guard Dog himself, and eventually found him through his whispering. I rushed through the locusts, and punched him in the nose, which...didn't look like it did much of anything.

"The part where I helped what I thought was an innocent man being bullied by my fathers mech? Does that make me corrupt?" I glared "Or is it that I'm finding a safe haven for people like you and me, who just want to live their lives but are in such danger that they can't even be hippies and live in the woods." I turned away. "Or is it me selfishly sending my friends away so I can try to help you?" I started to walk "You know what, at least I'm not a hypocrite. I don't work for a man who turned me into a monster. Don't say you aren't working for him, because by all definitions you are." I smirked "You can beat me up, lock me away, or even kill me." I smirked "But I will die with dignity, knowing that I just saved all my friends lives...while you...you do nothing but tell me that I was selfish in doing so" I walked away. "Enjoy your life Anubis, I was gonna offer you a home where people who are just like you are living, but...I think I'd rather not waste my breath" I kept walking trying to find an empty car to "borrow"

I stabbed the spearhead into the ground, and a wall of locust formed ahead of her.

I learned as a kid, that it's not he who does the most heroic acts that makes their mark in history, it's the one who takes the initiative, and seeks to rival someone else, purely to become better, while doing more and more heroic acts, while pushing someone else to do them as well."

"Consider me your rival, child. If you ever need my help, just ask. But don't expect me to break my own morals for the sake of your own. That is what a rivalry is."

The wall of locust lifts, and dissipate into the distant air.

"Just to prove myself on my word, name one thing I can do for your cause, that doesn't intersect with mine."

I'm not doing what I do for my own gratification, I'm doing it because I want to better the world for people like us, where just because someone has an extra eye, or fox fur, or is just like you, it doesn't matter." I turned at looked at him. "All you're doing is hurting people like us, because you are seen as a weapon" I turned and found a car. "No more...no less"

I sighed.

"I consider myself someone who gives attractive females like you a bit too many chances to redeem themselves, but I guess that foolishness screws over even the easiest decisions. I try to calm down and put myself on friendly terms with you, but you still continue to piss on my parade."

I rose my spear up in the air, as locusts filled the air.

"My friends always told me I'd be a dead man if I was too loose with my judgement of criminals like you. I now see their point. Despite proving your points incorrect, I continue to be berated as a hypocrite. I will not deny my own morals for the sake of one simple child, who refuses to look at the white light, just because their favorite color is black."

The staff head of the spear glows green.

"I was always warned, if I put too much trust in everyone, someone would eventually push me over the edge."

The green glow overtook my entire body.

"I have established my morals firmly now. I protect the weak from the strong. The good from the bad. The just from the corrupt. You are no different."

"I would not betray my morals I rose up with for one simple person, and nor would you, fox?"
