| The plane exploded. In midair. How did this happen, how could this happen? The plane, smoking, smoldering, carved a scar deep into the island it landed on and one by one survivors washed up on shore. Complete strangers. Other people lay dead or dying on the shore. Suitcases and bags were scattered everywhere, some floating in the water. Stranded on a deserted island covered with jungle, stranded with strangers, what will you do next?

| Penny dragged herself onto the sand, wretching the salt water from her lungs. Her red hair hung in strands as she pulled herself further through the sands and away from the incessant waves. There was so much smoke and fire, water in her lungs. She squinted, trying to see.
Screaming. Crying. Awful. Dead bodies everywhere. Yates swung from the right to the left. Dead. His family was dead. Yet he was alive...why?
(Also I tried to find a good picture of a boy with cancer to no avail. Yates has a shaved head, deep brown eyes, and a jovial smile.)

| Alina crawled on fours, feeling the laps of water constantly hitting her ankle. There was a lot of smoke, dead bodies, and fire around her. Everything else that surrounded her was water and sand that led to an island. She tried to call out for help, but all that came out of her throat was a moan.

| (Surprisingly, 95% of things under deviantart tag "survivor" are not human males)
Dusty's head stinging, his ears ringing, and his leg burning. He was not in good condition right now, but his best friend Kyle, who he was flying home with, is in much worse condition. His burning corpse laying in one of the spread about fires not too far away. Dusty would mourn his childhood friend later. But for now, he had to survive, so he could deliver the news to Kyle's parents himself. The only issue is, he can't get up, and if there was anything being said, he certainly couldn't hear it.
