"Sorry, had to make myself decent before meeting a visitor, plus I had to be sure you weren't one of the sand raiders. I ain't not sure how much longer I can keep hiding from them here, they don't see women like us as much more than a sleeve."

"Well yeah, lot's of 'em. In fact, bandits like these ones are callin' themselves Alterrian military. Although they clearly ain't, since they use scimitars and the like. There's other issues too, like the fact that Alterria refuses to help us in the war against those mean ol' Fortuga people, even though they have an alliance with us, and they don't have one with Fortuga. There's other little, tiny small things here and there, but those are the main problems we got, as far as I know. I heard somethin' about a guy being killed too, but being this distant from society since the war started, can't say I'm the most up to date person."

"Alright, miss, before we get to the supplies section of town, what sort of food are you looking for right now? We can get something a bit more fancy to eat right now, since we haven't eaten in a while, and it'll probably be our last chance in a while."

The girl sat down. With better focus on her features now, you could see the few cuts and bruisers she has on the back of her shoulders. She most likely had other wounds as well, that you couldn't see. It might not be good to bring them up, seeing as you already can assume how they came to be.
"The war with Fortuga is one we're losing, and it's hitting us hard. The reason this place is a ghost town, is because every man in this town...the town of Yulla, was pulled into the war. Any male 18 or older was taken to the front lines, and their wives and children moved so they could see them back sooner. Every other woman who didn't have any connections to the men in town, left due to the bandit danger. We had no police force, no weapons, nothing to fight back with. I had my farm equipment, but...that didn't work. I'm the only one left here. If you've really came to solve any issues here on behalf of Alterria...This war is the biggest issue. But anything you can do is a Five send."

"Itanya? I suppose their artsy style would produce some delicious but expensive foods, since being better than everyone else is all they have going for them."
(A large amount of Languages and races do exist in this world, they're just in some places you wouldn't expect. For example, Alterria speaks english, but their way of life is based around ancient Asian culture. The girl Ali is speaking with is Southern US in dialect and appearance, but people like her reside in the sandy areas, in Islamic regions. Italy would be a race on an island near Fortuga, labeled the Itanya. They would be based on a mixture of Architect culture, being very calm and friendly people who enjoy having a rich economy and beautiful works of art.)
