I looked around in complete silence, as the people of the town slunk away, leaving Rosaline and myself out in the open. I paused and looked at Rosaline, her eyes were going every which way. I moved to the left as one of the mercenaries came down with a two handed battle axe.

Within mere seconds we were surrounded as they all looked at us. I paused and had to ask. "Who employed you?"

They looked at me and glared, saying nothng, when Rosaline siad with some snark. "Like they are going to tell their target." I sighed as my hand glowed blue, Rosaline looked at my hand and paused. "Never seen that color"

I took a deep breath. "I haven't used it in a long time" I said quietly. "But...for this situation it is needed" My hand then started to spark. A LOUD Lunder came from the ENTIRE LUCERTOLA KINGDOM. (So you guys can hear this)

Rosaline:

He fell over, as I saw the smoldering remains of the mercenaries who attacked us. I then saw him, getting on one knee. "What...was that attack?"

He looked at me and said "The first spell I ever tried on my own...next to the blade hand my most leathal move...The Bolt of the Gods"

(@Equi, because of the type of magic you are learning, which is basically the War Gods magic, you can learn this too :D)

(Wouldn't it be basically deafening, ear-drum bursting for Zelton and Rosaline, as well as most of the Lucertola kingdom, if it was loud enough for us to hear it though)

(Perhaps after my character ascends to sacred fire, I'll make him able to start learning it.)

(Eh, we could just make up some weird excuse about how the blast is powerful enough that the sound travels for frequent flier miles or something. Also, what happens when Equinox and Zelton fight, since the spell is apparently an instant kill move? Equinox can go invisible, so he could easily surprise him with it, or a vice versa situation. Perhaps in the future we could incorporate a magic lock thing where people with strong enough magical ability can use part of that to negate powerful spells such as this.)

(I already found a counter, it's TOO powerful, and will leave you unconcious and vunerable for the nest 24 hours. It's one shot, and there are only two ways to use it, either a straight bolt or a shock wave. The Shockwave does alot of damage to you as well.)

Zelton:

I fell down again unconscious.

Rosaline:

I picked him up and paused, he felt numb. How much power does it take to do that move? I then dragged him into an alleyway, away from the scene, just barely avoiding the eyes of the Lucertola army. I paused and looked at Zelton in my hands. I then sat him across from me, and started to think about something. All I have to do is run away from him, run away and I'll never deal with his crap EVER again. I could be my own person, live my own life, and let him go on his obsessive quest alone. I looked up and thought, I could be free

*Flashback*

Rosaline:

I stood there with my mother at the age of five and said "Momma, what's the Shadow King?"

My mother, smiled, her long flowing black hair moved with a gentleness as the pale skin on her body moved to a strange bottle on the shelf, Her eyes shinned brightly, a periceing red light into the darkness that was an Ombra night. She simply said "A blessing given to us of the Ombra Clan, a gift from the Gods themselves" She then said "you're to young to know everything, but the Shadow King is the thing that separates us from those of the Eroe Kingdom" I smiled and walked away happy with that.

I looked at him again, and thne my mind drifted to his behavior. He has a right to be a little bit cranky, the love of his life ended up with someone that he thought he could trust, and his own daughter is being raised by that man as well. To say that has to sting would be an understatement, but how he acts. He made me a slave, he is extremely violent, and worse he's powerful. But now he's vunerable, now I can not only free myself but the whole world before he becomes a problem to powerful to stop.

*Flashback*

I was ten years old, with my mother, and she came to me. She smiled and said "Rosaline, I have a gift for you" I went to her and then my mother reached behind her neck and undid something. "This neckless has been in our family for generations, ever since the Ombra Clan was founded" She said to me with a small smile. "Ever since the first Shadow Ritual was performed." She gently hand it to me. "When the first born becomes ten years old, by right it belongs to you now" My mother said as I held the beautiful red ruby locket in my hands. I bushed my fingers over it, and my mother said "Go ahead put it on"

I smiled and did, thne hugged my mother "I will mom, thank you very much"

I revealed that this whole time I had a hidden knife incase I was really desprete, and my abilities did me no good. Sadly, being put under the threat of brain explosion was not one of those senarios. I walked to Zelton and hovered the knife over his heart.

*Flashback*

Rosaline:

I was with Mom again at the age of 13, when the war went on. Some of our people came back with axe wounds, and various other were killed in various other ways. I sighed seeing all the bodies getting warped in at the gate and I asked my mother. "How can the Eroe and their allies be so cruel? Stupid humans, I hate them, those stupid scaley freaks, and those green skinned idiots" I then recived a SLAP by my mother.

My mother said "Rosaline, don't ever, EVER think like that again." I held my cheek in pain as she said "Thinking like that is why there is a war in the first place. We are above that kind of thinking."

"But mom, look what has happened to our people, look at what was done to them" I protested

She responded as such. "Think about the people on the other side, the friends and the familes of the enemy, that are looking at what our people are doing. Tell me, through their eyes you don't see, pointed ear freaks, cat idiots, and creepy hooded weirdoes" I tried to, but...I couldn't through their eyes. "Rosaline, in a war there is no completely innocent or completely guilty parties. Every side suffers."

I asked "Then why fight a war at all?"

I saw her just sigh, as she said "Sweetheart, I ask myself that every day"

(Just for frame of refrance)

The war is

Eroe(Humans) Lucertola(Lizard People) and (I forget) (Orcs) vs Foresta (Elves) Gatto(Cat People [Think Kaght from Skyrim]) and Ombra (???)

I myself forgot, and will remember in the future on who is what allies)

(I thought so too, but I re-read my first post, and yes the Lizard People are allied with Humans not elves. My bad XD)

Rosaline:

I looked at him for what felt like hours. I took a deep breath, and then sheathed the blade, and looked around the area. I was raised better.

*Flashback*

Rosaline:

I'm now 18 and I smiled. "Today's the big day" I said as my mother was getting me dressed up for the ceremony. "The day I become one with the Shadows"

My mother smiled and dolled up my hair. "Yeah, today shall be a glorious day" She said with a smile. "Have you chosen a gift yet?"

I smiled and said "I have" I then heard the door coming in as my Father came in. "Father what is wrong?"

Father looked at me and said "Holly, emergency, I'll explain on the way" He said to her in a panic. He then saw me and said "I'm sorry sweetie, the war might..."

I sighed and looked down. "I know, stay safe" I said quietly. My mother smiled and held my hand.

She then said "It's a frustrating time I know sweetie, but remember..."

I finished her sentence gaining a small smile "A lifetime of anger and sadness is no life at all" I said looking at her "You better hurry'

She smiled and said "You too"

As my feet touched the bare ground, the clamoring of my fellow Ombra were silent as I walked inbetween the rows of people attending the ceremony. I stepped forward, and walked to an altar with a single red rose. I picked it up by its peddles, and then watched as the thorn did its job, and let the blood hit the altar. Silence emerged as the our very shadows came up to the altar and formed this dark silloute of a man. He spoke in a deep raspy voice and said "Child of Ombra, your step to adullthood has been long. Name your choice and I will grant you one gift as a reward"

I smiled and said "Like my mother before me, I wish for the gift of Eternal Life" I said with confidence

He lfited his hands as the shadows wrapped around my body. "Very well, the gift has been granted, you are now an Eternal Creature of Shadow, just like your mother before you" He then said "The ceremony is over" I said falling down, my hair becoming as black as night, and my skin paling at an alarming rate. My eyes became pure red, as I stood up with a smile.

Suddenly everyone heard panting, as I saw Dad coming to me.I was about to ask something when he said "Rosaline, your mother...she...I'm sorry this wasn't supposed to happen" I clutched at my neckless on impulse and fell to the ground in shock

*End Flashback*

It smelled horrible, but we were hidden for a little bit. I sighed as I looked at Zelton. Did he die? He hasn't moved this entire time. I paused and sighed seeng his chest move. No he's just out cold. I heard footsteps above us, and paused moving slightly in the shadows so we would not be seen.
