Steve listened from his backseat position. Druglord? China? He'd heard some rumors, but he didn't take them too seriously...May as well listen.

Quote Narutard ()
private meeting with Garrus, Steve and herself.
(Who is this Garrus you speak of)

Good thing there's nothing of my past she can press too hard.

(Fudge buffets. I meant Gawain)
Evelynn' thoughts of home clouded her mind but the only reason she had to return was to run her father's business, but she already had someone more than capable of doing that, and she got 60% profit. If she were to return all her efforts would go to waste and her powers would become useless. No, she could manage from afar, besides...she was making friends. "I do not believe I would go home if the chance offered it, no," Evelynn responded to Nessa's question and Nessa nodded. "Last question, promise. One I was asked myself due to the nature of our gender." Nessa looked Evelynn in the eyes. "Across many of my ventures I have been put in certain situations regarding my body that couldn't be helped due to the nature of the mission at hand. Are you willing to accept that this could and mostly like will happen to you as well?" Nessa asked quietly and Evelynn looked at the ground, silent. She understood what she was saying crystal clear...and it was brutally unfair.

"Yes," she responded quietly. "I understand."

Is she really implying that?

I suppose there are plenty of creatures out there that behave just as many humans most likely would, but let's hope that possibility is never such.

Steve looked back out the window to take his mind out of that horribly depressing thought that Nessa brought to the table. Ooh, a dirt road. Fancy.

Nessa picked up speed a little. "Well, that's all for me," she said.

"Hope this thing can go faster, because this is the third most awkward bus ride I've ever been on."

This was now the second most awkward bus ride Steve had ever been on. He supposed he should thank Slayzo for that, but he held his tongue.

Evelynn was focused outside, waving her fingers at the dunes. The sands began to move like waves.

Nessa raised her eyebrows. "Gross."

The sand was moving in waves. What sort of wind would cause that-
Steve looked over to Evelynn to find out that she was the one doing that. He felt angry at Nessa for dragging the whole "Steve hates elves" issue out of the closet where it could locked safety for a while, but he felt more sorry for Evelynn. If she hadn't known already, which was unlikely, she had just gotten a load of, albeit false, information about his detest of elves.
Of course, he did dislike them, but Evelynn seemed to be an exception to the rule. He hoped she wouldn't grow too distant from him as a result, they were a team, at least for now.

Nessa's phone began to ring and she clicked it open. "Mhmm...yeah...yeah..." She looked back at her passengers, "eh...yeah...yeah...okay. Thanks. Bye Gawain." She clicked the phone closed. "One last test."

Evelyn looked up and the sand fell still outside.

I looked at the dragon girl, and waited for what the last test was.

"About 60 miles due west of here a group of rouge vampires have captured around 30 children for an unknown reason. We've been set to get them free and bring in the vamps for interrogation." Nessa looked outside. "ASAP, which means we have to ditch the bus and travel by dragon."

Evelyn's eyes widened as she paled. No, not the jar again.

What
"What" said Steve, without even any punctuation. Dragon? What dragon? Was he going to ride a dragon?

Walker:

I sighed at that, and said to them. "You know that part about the cultists and the demon god being the easy stuff" I said getting up. "This is what I meant, there is nothing good or easy about rouge vampires and children"

Nessa rolled her eyes at Slayzo's comment and pulled the bus over. "I'll get someone to come pick it up as she opened the doors. "You'll see in a second Steve."
