Lyra leaned on the railings, mind occupied. Everyone before her had done between a decent hundred and thousands of years. Everyone's account of Godrick was that he did pretty okay, decided one day to just fuck it with the job, and end himself. Not everyone could be cut out for the job, seeing the friends you make and family you love die and then the loneliness sets in could be too hard to take. She mused over those thoughts for some time.
