I sat there quietly, listening to the two while I drew a picture of them in the same position they are, only with a romantic side in their head positions.

And a little less airsick look on her face.

Evelynn shook her head. "It's nothing," she said, not turning around. She had been led to believe that Steve despised elves, and he hasn't denied it so she was confused as to why he had helped her.

Nessa chuckled as she touched down, a deep throaty rumble that traveled throughout her. As soon as they touched down, Evelynn was on the ground, savoring the feel of dirt beneath her. As soon as everyone was off, Nessa shifted back down to her human form. "Haven't done that in a while," she said, rolling her shoulders.

Maybe he'd find out one day. He decided not to push the issue.
She must at least not trust him for his elf issue, that SOME DRAGON BODY brought up. A wound like that would take time to heal. Even with powerful magic, a broken bone takes time. He figured that out firsthand.
Steve jumped off, landing in the sand. He was ready for the sandstorm.

As I Walked around on the ground, I was still drawing my picture on the notepad.

"And I wasn't even done with my masterpiece drawing yet."

Nessa looked up and blinked a few times. "Focus on the mission Walker, we got a hundred kids to save."

Evelynn stood. "Yeah, about that. I think I should get the kids."

"I know, I know" I said to Nessa. "I'm gonna go play with the vampires, to keep them busy. Is that going to be a problem?"

"All right" I said suddenly regaining my professionalism from earlier that day. "You heard the lady" I walked to her and said "Now the priority is the babies, we need people to slip in and out quickly to get them all to safety" I said my tone consistant. "Now Evelynn offered to do it, and I actually agree with that idea" I paused and said "However, this part of the mission is a three person job" I looked  around and got an idea. "Nessa, you should go with Evelynn, and Slayzo should join them" I then revealed I knew more about them than I let on. "Nessa is pretty sneaky, and I want to have someone with more experience with you two on the mission. Evelynn's ground type magic can work to get you guys in quickly, and Slayzo is naturally sneaky because of his scouting abilities"

(They're kids, not babies, ages 6-14. They can take care of themselves and they're terrified. If they're offered a way out, they'll follow it. I thought we would have three distract the 20 vampires and two get the kids to safety. With Evelynn being a geomage she can create escape tunnels while the vampires are distracted.)

(with this new information I think that we should go with that plan allow me to adjust my post)

Walker:

I looked at them and said "Okay Two people will have the important job of getting the kids out, and to saftey" I looked around and said "I'm thinking Evelynn and Nessa, because Nessa has the experience and Evelynn has the magic" I looked at the boys. "The rest of us have the extra fun job of playing distraction to 20 vampires"

Evelynn and Nessa nodded. "Sounds good to me," Nessa said as she stretched.

"I figured we'd substitute at least one of us two humans here for the dragon that finds vampire venom ineffective because vampire dragons aren't a thing. But alright."

"A sandstorm might make it hard for us too. Especially the hostages, once we dig them out of there."

Nessa smiled at Steve. "No worries. I actually have medicine for you all to take. Once you take this pill," she held up a tiny blue pill. "Vampire venom will be ineffective on you for four hours. So you have four hours to do away with them. Just because we're rescuing these kids now doesn't mean they won't do it in the future. They must be stopped."
