Now slumped pathetically under the windowsill, I looked up. "I'm changing!" I blurted as I hopped to my feet. I wiped my eyes in case I had any tears that had gone unnoticed. I now paced back and forth, not sure of what to do. I was close to having a breakdown, so I wasn't in the right state of mind to think, let alone carry a conversation.

I am only one, but I am one.

"Come on in," I said reluctantly. I gave up on thinking and I sat down on the edge of the bed and waited. I hoped I could do my best to present a well Issac.

I walked in and looked at the window. "You have better control than me. I lost it this morning, and you saw what happened..." I sat beside him.

I looked at her sideways. "What makes you think I have any control?" I asked nervously.

"Yet." I thought.
"You only did that because I miss my freedom..." I said sympathetically.

I leaned back on the chair I was now sitting in.

"Man, this sucks."

(You don't catch that "I miss my freedom?"? c:)

"I'm not sure," I admitted. I felt as if my act was slipping.

I realized what I needed to do now. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh.
"I wish there was something we could do," I finally said.

"I know it's not. I can't explain why I feel responsible," I said as I laid back, so I could stare at the ceiling and not have to face her.

I opened my mouth to respond to him when the door was kicked open. A soldier marched in and grabbed my arm and all I could think was :This is it, I'm going to die because I broke a window. What a terrible reason to die," He dragged me towards the door and I started resisting. He hit me in the head with the butt of his gun and I slumped in defeat. "You're wanted for questioning," He said, but the way he said it made it sound like it would be more than questioning. He grabbed me again and shot a glare at Issac.

My eyes widened, though I kept my position only until he turned and was dragging her away. The second he turned, I shot from my position on the bed and out the door. He was within a yard of the door when I made it out, though I couldn't directly hit him with Annie on the ground between us. I took a chance and I leapt over Annie, and on to the back of the soldier. For a moment I forgot where I was. This was just another tackle on the field that I called home. It was when I was grabbed by a second soldier and thrown to a nearby wall that I realized where I was. "No!" I shouted, as I kicked at the soldier in front of me. I needed to get on my feet. If they left with her, she would join Lyle and Valren.

Hearing the slam of a door, I rushed back into the hall, just in time to see a soldier.

"The hell's going on here?"

I was wrenched up by my hair and I screamed in pain. I immediately stopped when I felt the cool metal of a gun against my cheek. My eyes widened as I looked at Issac. "She won't be killed, but make another move and we'll decorate the walls with her brains," The soldier holding me said. I choked back tears.

Pinned down by a soldier already, I lashed out effortlessly. "You're a fuckin' liar!" I barked, still swinging through air.

He clicked the hammer back and I whimpered. "Issac...please stop," I whispered.

I took a step forward, but didn't progress much, seeing the gun aimed at Annie.

Once again, I'm completely useless.

Why can't it be me under the gun? I'd feel some semblance of value to the group. They promise not to kill her, but, as we've seen previously...how far are they willing to go before they think she's reached the edge of death?
