"No! St--mphm," I was pulled down the stairs and gagged. He marched me outside and I stumbled and fell into the frigid snow. It was freezing outside...and the snow was stained red. I adverted my eyes, unable to look at Lyle and Valren. He pushed me towards a menacing looking building, lined with dozens of guards.

| Frozen in fear as usual, I just stood there.
After a moment, I simply walked over and sat back down in my chair in the main room.
Nothing I can do, and facing my fears will only get others hurt, which is the exact opposite thing I want.
The lack of power I stand with is slowly killing my sanity. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but, it's the closest idea I can muster right now.
I guess I have to just face reality, and accept I'll be useless up until I'm dead. And then, I'll be a hindrance.

I laughed quietly, sitting next to him. "Right about now...they're asking her impossible questions, questions she would never have the answers to, and for every answer she gets wrong its another fist to the stomach, another slap to the face, a shock through her body, a slice on her pretty perfect face," I smirked at him.

Helping me up would have made this easier, though sitting next to me was all I needed. I looked down pitifully, acting as if I was a weak child. In a swift move, my left elbow connected with his Adam's apple. The seconds he was taking to recover, I was using to capitalize. I placed my right fist in his stomach. I pulled back my left hand, and delivered a blow to his chin. As he began to fight back, I kicked his rifle out of our reach. "Nick!" I hissed down the hall. "Nick!" I fought. I focused on attacking his neck and his throat. I wanted to keep him silenced.

| Another guard was soon to come running up the stairs. "ALL FREEZE!" He shouted as he lifted his gun. Four other guards soon made themselves known and in the silence, a scream could be heard across the came, sounding all too much like Annie.

Annie was doubled over in pain, mouth frozen open as her scream died off. She had taken the punches and even the cuts well, but they had increased the shocks coursing through her nearly tenfold and she felt as though she was being fried alive. The metal cuffs released and she fell to the ground. Yuvenich kicked her and she rolled over, groaning. She was dirt covered and bloody, her lip split open and her eye red with a burst blood vessel. Yuvenich sat in the chair, gazing down at her. "You, little girl, will be my strongest asset," He smiled as he traced her jaw with a sword. She stared at the silver blade with fear.

I hit the guard nearest to me and I dove on to the other side of him and retrieved the gun. I turned and aimed back at the guards as I slowly backed up towards the doorway to my room. They couldn't fire with one o their own in the line of fire.

I came to help Isaac, but upon seeing the guards arrive, and his reaction, I got out of the hallway quickly, hiding at the side of the hallway, in the main room.

I retreated back into the doorway. I was now out of sight. "I want to hear her voice. Wake her and show me she's alive!" I retorted as I bought time. I removed the magazine and removed a round. I quietly placed the magazine back into the rifle.
