| Steve was confused. He didn't know what to think anymore. Was he on medical now? No, he got a red flag...What would happen to him? What would happen to his cats? Mimzy?

| "Are those five considered the section, or are five people in that group about to get a surprise?"

I sighed "That sucked" I said to Taylor quietly. "Why did they all do that, ending up hurting each other like that?"

| George bit his lip and decided for it. Besides, it was only they too. He leaned down and whispered something in Cyrus' ear.
Taylor shook his head. "We live in a dangerous world. It's kill or be killed now," he said, and headed inside. Slowly the rest of the graduates returned inside as the breakfast bell rang. If was hard to believe that it was only breakfast time and they couldn't imagine what was in store for the rest of the day.

| Steve headed inside for breakfast. The cats had been waiting for hours. He needed to feed them first. They should always come first. He took the path past the bookstore towards the pet shop.

I decided to walk with Taylor and put it in the back of my mind for now. I hope that when we approve the world, things will be much better.

| I looked over at George, to make sure he was serious.
"I see." Was all I could muster up the words for.

| George nodded solemnly and stood. "Let us go and fetch some grub, kiddo," he said. "Be glad you sat," he added on.
Taylor entered the food court and walked to get his place. Several people congratulated him and he smiled, thanking them all in turn, but he felt hollow. Hollow over a stupid flag.

| After feeding the cats, Steve decided to head over to the food court to eat. At least everyone else was. He made his way through the tables, trying to find a place to sit.

| George nodded as they entered the food courts. "Big smiles,Kiddo," He said as he stepped up to the counter for his breakfast rations. A small bowl of oatmeat, an apple and some coffee. The younger ones got a choice between coffee and milk.
Taylor took his food, selecting coffee, and sat a table a small distance away. He watched the people mill about, considering the fact that this was indeed his new home. Ally walked from table to table, talking amicably with everyone. They adored her, as they should. She would be their savior.

| Steve sat at the same table as Taylor. He seemed nice enough, and he had also grabbed a red flag. He sipped his coffee in silence. Meanwhile, Mimzy hunted her quarry from her hidden position behind the chair leg. With one fell swoop, she leapt and grabbed Steve's shoelaces with her paws. Steve smiled. Never stop being you, Mimzy.

| Taylor watched the cat quietly and smiled. "She has great spirit," He said. "Reminds me of my sister and her cat..." He trailed off. A life he did not know anymore.

| Mimzy crawled back up into Steve's lap as he continued to eat, careful not to spill oatmeal on the cat. "Yeah...She's full of energy. Most of the others watch from shadows. Mimzy's right out in front." Seeing his face, he added: "We all left stuff behind. I'm glad I only left behind my family. I couldn't stand parting with Mimzy, or any others. He could see a few more of the cats now, darting in and out of view. Taking time to explore the facility.

| Taylor shrugged and turned to Cyrus. "How is Care going?" He asked.
Ally sat down next to George, observing her nails. "You have a bright apprentice on your hands. How fares he?" She asked and George set his coffee down. "He will be a great doctor," He said and she looked at the table of boys. "This entire batch shows promise, I believe they will be our best yet. And the syrum?" She asked and George's hand tightened around the mug. "Not so loud," He whispered, looking around. Nobody paid them any attention. "It comes well, another fortnight and it'll be ready for testing." Ally nodded with satisfaction and stood. She flashed George a brilliant smile and walked away. Everything is right on track.

| Taylor whistled lowly in surprise. "Lucky son of a bitch," He chuckled. "This was way more intense than I was expecting," He said. He began to explain the choice he had to make and how he had watched the green flag burn and the Captain just stood there. "I mean, I know it was just a flag, but it still felt...wrong. I dunno," He shook his head.

| Steve nodded, finishing his coffee. Mimzy got back onto the table, looking at the new person at the table. He would make a fine servant, if he pet her well.

| "Life's tough, I suppose, being here, those choices are gonna be frequent. So destroying the green flag actually made one more person join recon or whatever?"
