Die with dignity or...? No, there was no other option. I would not give in.
I took a few steps back, and turned, swinging my club wildly and letting it connect with the side of a bandit's skull. The vibration from the hit traveled through out my arm, causing me to drop the club.
I shot forward and knocked over a second bandit, taking of running and abandoning my morals. I was hoping to get within earshot of someone. "Help!" I shouted, running toward the city limits. I had four bandits closing in behind.

A couple of the lights up ahead began moving forward, while the others stayed where they were.
As soon as the lights began moving,the bandits ran off.
As he got closer, Charles could see that the lights were gate guards, and the other lights were lights on the walls of Goad.

I fell over myself and cursed loudly, turning on my back and sitting up as I rapidly began using almost every air technique I knew, sending the attack after the retreating bandits.
After a minute or so, I fell back, exhausted. I stared up at sky, breathing heavily.
